Golden Food Agro (Private) Limited, a pioneer in the export of commodities from Sri Lanka stands amongst the top tier in the hierarchy of the food export industry. With roots in the Central Province of Sri Lanka, the Company now has its operations in Colombo under Mr. Imthiyaz Cader. The activities of the Company has been the wholesale of traditional Sri Lankan commodities including Tea, Black Pepper, Black Sesame seeds, Mixed Sesame Seeds, Betel nuts, Nut meg, Garcinia, cloves, soybeans, maize and a varied list of agricultural products. Additionally the company also deals with supplying many corporate bodies and government entities with base food products for such entities to produce finished food items for the market at large including to the World Food Program, Uni Lever Ceylon Limited and Brook Bond Ceylon Limited. The Company supplies nutritional products to the Health Ministrys programs on nutrition and health as well as supply base products to prestigious companies like Ceylon Grain Elevators (CGE), Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL) for the production of their branded and reputed food items. The Company purchases all its products directly from the source namely the farmers of Sri Lanka giving it an edge over all itscompetitors who deal through middle men and making it far more competitive than any other supplier. The Company also deviating from the food industry, is involved in real estate sourcing and managing. The Company is involved in several social upliftment programs for the community at large including providing housing for farmers and educating and supplying them with seeds, raw material and fertilizers for the optimum results. Currently with a direct workforce of 25, the Company in its business provides the indirect substance for at least 1675 farmers and their dependents.
