Bossa constantly strives to maintain its leading position as one of the foremost integrated manufacturers and exporters of finished textile fabrics in Turkey and in the European union.
Bossa, having achieved the ISO 9001 quality assurance certificate, continuously utilizes total quality applications to keep track of globalization and to cope with the high competition caused by changing consumption trends and consumer expectations. And as part of this process, in 2005, a new project has been initiated under sabanci holding business excellence program (sabe) where the quality and excellence will not only be a production target but will be a widespread, understood and applied concept to each and every process throughout the company as a lifestyle.
In 2005, bossas total production reached 43. 3 million meters of denim and sportswear, formal and smart casualwear and shirting fabrics. Total sales were US $165 million; exports accounted for 60% of this total. In 2005, investments for renovation, capacity increases and improvement totaled approximately US $38. 5 million by summing up the last 3 years figure to US $81. 2 million. As part of this, company has completed most of its investments in energy transformation to natural gas usage.
In 2006 bossa will continue to strive for excellence. While marketing and selling strategies will be the core activities; cost reduction oriented order base production, just in time and fast track applications will also be intensely utilized. As a result of energy transformation to natural gas, company is expecting to generate lower production costs compare to prior years.
The company has started to overcome high and intense far east oriented threats, started by the beginning of 2005 as a result of removal of quotas on far east originated goods, by using the advantages of its logistics closeness to Europe, targeting the middle and upper end of the textile market based on its customer profile and on top of all that by producing the right product at the right time and the right price.
Bossas shares are listed on the Istanbul stock exchange with a free float of 27% .
