Spring Valley General Trading Co. L.L.C. is foodstuff trading company based in the Al Ras foodstuff market (Dubai) and deals in nearly 200 food products. Established in 1998, SVGT is mainly involved in the imports, re-export and Wholesale and retail trade of various commodities such as Tree Nuts, dry fruits, pulses and rice etc. Through our retail operations SVGT is a major supplier of foodstuff to all seven emirates of the U.A.E. as well as to neighboring countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain etc. Additionally we do a lot of re-export activities to Turkey, Libya, Algeria, Pakistan, India and other countries in the MENA and Indian subcontinent. For our trade in the year 2013 we were awarded the title of Re-exporter of the Year by DubaiTrade(www.dubaitrade.ae) in the 6th E-Services Excellence awards. This is a significant achievement for us and it speaks of the volume of trade that we do.
On an average we import about 2500 to 3000 containerized cargos of various foodstuff materials from countries such as U.S.A., Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, China, Guatemala, Vietnam and Singapore etc. SVGT is one of the major importer and re-exporter Tree Nuts (Almonds, walnuts and cashew etc. ), spices (Cardamom, black pepper and cloves etc.) and other raw foods in the region. We are one of the biggest importers and traders of Cashew Nuts, Almonds, Walnuts, Pistachio, Cardamom and Black Pepper in Dubai. For Almonds alone we have a market share of about 70 % of the imports in the U.A.E. We have an in depth market knowledge and years of experience in the industry that helps us accurately predict the many factors affecting the demand and supply.
